Gary J. Cohan

Born Brooklyn, New York; Education: New York University (A.B. cum laude), Harvard Law School (J.D.).  Admitted to The New York Bar 1966, The State Bar of California 1984 and The Florida Bar 2004.  Mr. Cohan practiced corporation and securities law and commercial litigation for 13 years with Marshall, Bratter, Greene, Allison & Tucker, New York City and has served in senior legal positions for several companies, including as General Counsel of MetPath Inc., the predecessor of Quest Diagnostics, and Victor Technologies and as Associate General Counsel of Tandem Computers and Compaq Computer Corporation.

 

Mr. Cohan currently concentrates his practice in the following areas in which he has extensive experience both as outside counsel and as house counsel: business organizations, counseling and transactions, including financing, venture capital and private equity investment, mergers, acquisitions and dispositions; a broad range of commercial and technology agreements; and corporate reorganizations and workouts and Chapter 11 transactions.
