A third generation South Florida resident, Mr. McKibbin graduated from Hofstra University in 1968 with a major in Economics and from the University of Miami School of Law in 1971 with a Juris Doctor. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1972, and is a member of the Sports and Entertainment Section and serves on the Equine Law Committee.
Mr. McKibbin is an AV Rated “Preeminent” (by Martindale-Hubbell) transactional business attorney with over three decades experience in all facets of commercial business and real property law. He works diligently with clients to develop creative strategies in order to provide the best possible solutions to both everyday and complicated matters.
His nationally-recognized equine law practice includes preparation of private offering memorandums, drafting of limited and general partnership agreements for both racing stables and breeding farms, preparation of stallion syndication and breeding agreements, and preparation of training and boarding agreements. He regularly represents clients in transactions and litigation involving purchase and sales, financing, insurance and tax matters related to the equine industry. He is a long-time member of the American Horse Council and the NY Breeders Association.
Mr. McKibbin’s business and real estate practice includes complex contract matters, organizational structuring, drafting condominium documents, preparation of retail and office leases, title insurance matters, business transactions, refinancing and restructuring mortgage loans, insurance matters and client representation before zoning and regulatory bodies. His banking industry experience includes lender loan documentation of real estate, aircraft, yachts, and thoroughbred horses, as well as borrower loan representation, refinancing and restructuring.
